Telecommunications Infrastructure Overview
Telecommunications infrastructure covers the physical networks and supporting systems that carry voice, data and broadband services between premises, exchanges, data centres and wider network locations. FDNS delivers this infrastructure across both access and transmission environments, supporting projects from survey and route planning through construction, installation, testing and final handover. Our work includes Openreach PIA, underground duct and chamber networks, overhead pole routes, fibre cable installation and blowing, jointing and fusion splicing, MDU fibre deployment, GPON and XGS-PON access networks, civils, fault investigation and network commissioning. We also support specialist optical and transmission requirements including CWDM, DWDM, OPGW, Ethernet and BERT testing, OTDR testing and fibre characterisation.
